The rich pasture lands of Galbally are home to the Galbally Pedigree Limousin Beef herd.
The herd numbering 50 cows and their progeny was established with the purchase of 2 heifers in 1994. The farm is entirely grass based and is bouded by forestry on 2 sides and is an outdoor counrty - loving person's paradise. The farm has internal walkways of over a mile long which allow the opportunity to unwind ones busy life, to relax and enjoy the surroundings.
Protection of the environment and wildlife is very important on this farm and the farm is currently participating in REPS - Rural Environmental Protection Scheme. The Farm is home to large numbers of wildlife such as pheasants, rabbits, hare, and foxes are all to be seen daily.
Each Summer the herd usually shows youngstock from the herd at local and national agricultural shows with considerable success. Galbally Cottage is a fully operational and commerical farm and invites their quests to taste a sample of the TRUE AGRICULTURE LIFE.
